The FHE Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports our school all year long with special events, and funding for our school, classrooms, and teachers. We are looking forward to welcoming so many new families into our school community this year! Traditionally, the PTO hosts a large fall fundraiser to jump-start our year, and this fall we are coinciding that fundraiser with the “New Beginnings Walk” event on Friday, September 24. This daytime event will be a great opportunity to come together as a school community for an afternoon of FUN and inspiration. **All students will participate regardless of donations.
Did you know that each year, the PTO needs to raise $30,000 to support programs throughout the year? To get started, our fundraising goal for the New Beginnings Walk is $10,000. Together, we believe this is possible! Donations we collect through the New Beginnings Walk will assist with supporting the following school community needs:
- $3,500 - Field trip (in-person or virtual) and assembly expenses
- $4,500 - Teacher classroom fund (more cool gear for your child’s class!)
- $500 - Teacher appreciation/hospitality
- $1000 – Supplemental student supplies
- $500 – School beautification (i.e. playground and hallway decorating supplies that brighten everyone’s day!)
Thanks to the support of our FHE volunteers, Fern Hill will receive 100% of the funds raised. Your family’s monetary contribution is an amazing way to secure great programming for your student while at Fern Hill.
